In 2017, BeneShark was founded to create a benefits platform that would be as simple as shopping online. With their cloud-based technology, they can evolve as fast as the market does keeping their clients HR teams ahead of the curve.

BeneShark is privately held and specializes in working with both domestic and international clients to implement customized employee benefits solutions worldwide. BeneShark turned to S9 Digital to design and develop a custom website that is modern and user-experience friendly while enhancing their professional presence online.  We also had the pleasure of designing a new logo that more accurately reflects their brand.

Project Notes

Highlights from our design include its user-friendly interface and large-font typography that work together to enhance readability. User navigation is intuitive and the simplified site architecture makes it easy for visitors to find content relevant to their needs.

In addition to the modern-yet-approachable homepage, we designed and developed custom and mobile-responsive pages throughout the entire site. We also built a news and insights section so that the BeneShark team can use to keep viewers in the loop on company and industry news.

Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 66 Launches Mobile Site

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 66’s new mobile responsive website SMW66.org. The website designed and developed by our digital transformation agency, S9 Digital is not only visually stunning but also a powerful site allowing union leadership and staff to reach their member base in a convenient and timely fashion.

Mobile Responsive Design

The mobile-responsive website connects members, signatory contractors, and partners to SMW 66 related news and events. The decision to build a mobile-responsive website provides union members with a complete mobile-first communication platform. Among the upgrades to the site are simpler navigation and an improved search function to make important information easier to find.

“Our members are increasingly using smartphones to access the internet and we wanted to use technology to improve communication and enable easy member benefit access in a clean, easy to use website,” says SMW 66 Business Agent Sam Hem. “As a S.M.A.R.T. Union, we are a membership-driven organization, and it is incredibly important for us to keep members informed and make sure they know how to contact us.”

Once SMW 66 members register, they will have full access to their member dashboard, including benefit access links, union contracts, information on upcoming events, and discounts through Union Plus.

“We hope these features will help us show the incredible value of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 66 membership,” Sam Hem says. “Users will also have online access to the Tin Bender, a SMW 66 member magazine highlighting the incredible things our members do every day, whether on the job, in training, or for our local communities throughout Western Washington.”

Members of SMW 66 can now view union-related information on the platform of their choice. Whether on a desktop computer, tablet or a smartphone, members can access virtually all content at their convenience. This responsive design gives members the ability to choose their preferred method of communication, either with emails that link to the website or notifications through the news and events section.

Powerful Backend Functionality

The new mobile site is not only easy to navigate and use by members, it also provides a powerful, yet simple interface for updating content by administrators and staff. With the backend content management system (CMS), the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 66 does not have to use a desktop to update content, saving them money and time. S9 Digital implemented a user-friendly CMS platform designed for non-technical staff to make changes in the field with ease via a mobile device.

In addition to the cost savings, being mobile means staff won’t have to wait to make time for adjustments or post news and events to the website. This will allow them to share important information with members right away, and make sure the site stays up to date.
